RIDO*

Formative assessment week is done and dusted for Levels 5 & 6 —deep breath— and now, it’s time to dive back in!

Fresh briefs are in hand - always a daunting part of the process - academic or professional. Remember, reliance on a structured and controlled process will see you through.

Whether you’re unraveling the mysteries of complex scientific principles (YR3) or getting your digital hands dirty with some pixels (YR2) it's time to get back to business.

Stars in Their Plasticine Eyes - 2025 Edition

Stars in their Plasticine Eyes
2025
Every year, as part of ILLU5020 The Illustrator's Toolkit, second year illustrators celebrate celebrity via the medium of children's play clay.

The results ALWAYS speak for themselves.
(Often in pained, tortured tones).
Amazing!

Welcome to our 'An Audience with...' programme, a unique series of Q&A sessions featuring accomplished practitioners from the illustration industry. These sessions provide an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, ask questions, and gain insights into their work and creative processes.

The sessions take place on Tuesdays from 2 to 3pm (usually). Full details of the programme can be found within the top folder of every Blackboard module page and here.

To make the most of these sessions, you're required to research each guest artist in advance and prepare thoughtful questions to deepen your understanding and enrich the discussion.

In Katie's words: "Down with boring stuff!"

'Illustrated Live' aim to put an end to stuffy, corporate events and to help get organisations ideas out into the world with accessible, friendly and engaging visuals that BLOW MINDS.

They have scribed for Google, Netflix, Adobe, Meta, Apple, Johnson & Johnson, Penguin Randomhouse, the United Nations and lots lots more.

You won't have to spend long on Katie's Instagram account before it becomes clear that a) she knows the illustration industry inside out, and b) she's keen to share as much of her expertise as she can. No gatekeeping will occur on Katie's watch!
